🌿 Introducing Starlight Traveler in Argentina — Over MATE Tea

There is something gentle about introducing a book over mate tea.

During my time in Argentina, I found myself sitting at a small table in the late afternoon, surrounded by warm conversation, pastries, and the quiet ritual of tea time. In that intimate setting, I shared Starlight Traveler — a book that traveled across languages before arriving here.

In Argentina, tea time (or merienda) is more than a break. It is a pause in the day — a moment for connection. With cups of tea, medialunas, and soft laughter filling the space, I opened the pages of my book and began to speak about how it was born.

Starlight Traveler began as a personal reflection on movement — between countries, between languages, between who we are and who we are becoming. What started in Korean slowly expanded into English, and eventually into Spanish, shaped by conversations with friends across continents. (Thanks to my dear Erika)

Introducing the Spanish edition here felt quietly meaningful. The book, once written in solitude, now belonged to a room full of listeners. We spoke about stars, about travel, about longing — and about the strange way stories arrive in places we never expected.

Perhaps books, like people, have their own journeys.

And sometimes, they arrive gently — over tea.
